Everybody knows that Pinterest can be incredibly inspirational (and maybe even a little addicting). Whether you are browsing for fitness tips or an exciting new recipe, Pinterest has it all. However, as event planners we know that Pinterest is an especially useful tool for future brides, wedding planners and wedding lovers everywhere. We know that Pinterest can be a little overwhelming sometimes, especially for new users, so we have compiled a list of five tips on how to maneuver Pinterest for wedding planning in an effective and fun way!

- Get Inspired: Pinterest is inspiration central, but try and remember that not everything you see can be exactly replicated or available depending on your budget and resources. Try and use pinterest as a tool to discover your own wedding style and don’t forget that wedding inspiration can come from anywhere! Try expanding your search beyond “weddings” and check out fashion, interior design, or travel pins to give you a variety of inspiration!

- Stay Organized: Pinterest allows you to separate your ideas into boards so you can keep all your amazing inspiration nice and organized. Instead of having one giant wedding board, try making individual boards for wedding dress ideas, wedding stationery, honeymoon inspiration or unique reception treats! Keeping all your ideas organized will make wedding planning seem a little less daunting. PS. Don’t forget to utilize the “secret board” feature to keep pretty wedding details a surprise!

- Collaborate: If you’re the type that loves to have a second opinion, Pinterest is great for inspiration collaboration. Invite your maid of honor, mom or even your wedding coordinator to contribute to some of your boards! Need help narrowing down a theme or color palette? Invite a few of your closest and most trusted pals to collaborate and help you make your wedding dreams come true.
